Approved Premises Support Worker

We are currently recruiting for a Probation Service Officer work at the Bedford Approved Premises.



The successful candidate will complete Keywork activities with People on Probation residing at the AP.

This will include liaising with Probation Practitioners, MAPPA/NSD teams, etc.

LOCATION: Bedfordshire, MK40 2AP
HOURS: 37 Hours Per Week - Shift Pattern including weekend and night work
DURATION: Initial 16 weeks
PAY RATE:
Ltd rate per hour -
Day £15
Night £18
Weekend £21

Probation Service Officer Duties

• To undertake the full range of offender management tasks with offenders assessed as low or medium risk of harm.


• To use computer-based systems to produce, update and maintain records and other documentation within agreed timescales Ensure effective referrals to services and facilities and communicate with offender management staff, interventions staff, service providers and external agencies to review progress and associated risks.


• To work within the aims and values of NPS and NOMS

Essential Requirement

• Experience of working with groups or individuals in order to motivate and change behaviour


• Experience of working with a diverse range of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties and the need to use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
