Job Title: Housekeeper

Location: Colchester

Contract Type: Temp ongoing

Working hours: Full time 36 hours (9 - 5 Monday to Friday)

We are currently on behalf of a Housing Association in Colchester who are seeking to appoint a responsible, enthusiastic and hardworking full-time Housekeeper to join their dedicated team to deliver an excellent service.

Main tasks and duties:

To deliver an effective cleaning service ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements and established standards.

Duties to include:

• to sweep, vacuum and mop floors


• to clean the kitchen, kitchen cupboards, bathrooms, shower and WC's


• to dust ledges, clean walls


• to wash rails and woodwork


• to sweep external communal areas and car parks


• to pick up litter, sweep bin area and disinfect


• to clean guest room, wardens office, entrance, stairs, outside ledges and doors


• to perform duties commensurate with the responsibilities of the role and ad hoc

projects as required from time to time

• To provide cover for other members of staff during holidays, sickness or other absences and in emergencies

Essential Criteria:

• Past cleaning experience is essential
