A client within the Public Sector based in Northamptonshire is currently recruiting for a Highways Development Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within.

The Role

Key purpose of the role to be responsible for the co-ordination and management of all highway development liaison functions including expert highway and engineering advice on planning applications, road adoption or highway works.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Give expert advice on planning flood management, building control and highway maintenance functions.
  
  


• To consider planning applications and related documentation including transport assessments / statements and detailed technical submissions to provide expert highway and engineering advice.

• To manage a team of engineers and technical staff

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require:

• Professional Engineering qualification or NVQ level 4 or Equivalent qualification and experience


• Membership of a relevant professional body or institute or working towards membership.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Expert knowledge and understanding of development management processes and relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
  
  


• An understanding of and ability to critique and interpret Transport Assessments and traffic modelling activity.
  
  

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £78 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
