Job Vacancy: Housing Service Manager - Middlesbrough
Contract: 3-Month Contract

Do you possess the expertise to manage a residential supported housing service and collaborate effectively with external agencies? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Housing Service Manager in Middlesbrough.

About Us:
Our organization is dedicated to providing essential support and housing services to veterans.

As the Housing Service Manager, you will oversee a residential supported housing service catering to 20 veterans.

We are committed to creating a supportive and empowering environment for veterans, helping them transition to independent living and improving their overall well-being.

Job Role and Responsibilities:
As the Housing Service Manager, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Housing Management: Ensure the smooth and efficient management of the residential supported housing service, including the allocation and maintenance of accommodations.

  • People Management: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest quality care and services are delivered to our veteran residents.

  • Collaboration with External Agencies: Work closely with external agencies, local authorities, and support services to create a network of comprehensive care for our residents.

  • Resident Support: Ensure that veterans receive person-centered support, tailored to their individual needs and circumstances, to assist them in their journey towards independent living.

  • Health and Safety: Uphold health and safety standards within the housing service, ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and staff.

  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the effectiveness of the service, track outcomes, and implement improvements to achieve the best possible results for our veteran residents.



Requirements:



  • Housing Management Skills: Previous experience in managing residential supported housing or a similar housing environment is essential.

  • People Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and supportive work culture.

  • Collaborative Approach: Proven track record of working effectively with external agencies and stakeholders to deliver comprehensive support services.

  • Enhanced DBS: An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is essential for this role.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the challenges faced by veterans and their specific housing needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with veterans, staff, and external partners.

  • Strong organizational abilities to manage resources effectively and meet the needs of the housing service.

  • Flexibility to work 37.5 hours per week with the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the residents.
