Senior ODP

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Theatre Nurse/Senior ODP to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Ormskirk, West Lancashire area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers



The hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services.

The two fully equipped theatres are particularly suitable for orthopaedic procedures offered such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacement

Your key responsibilities will include:



  • Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be

  • Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs

  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care

  • Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students

  • Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • ALS qualification would be an advantage but not essential

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Demonstrated computer skills

  • Ability to plan equipment and consumable requirements



You will receive an excellent salary up to £39,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
