We are currently searching for a prospective CHP Income Collection Officer to join our team, on a full time basis on a fixed term on 6 months.

This role offers a Hybrid working approach, with 2 days in office and 3 working from home.

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality and prompt communal energy and housing management service to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a similar role, and be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, as well as maximising unpaid heating income.

This role requires a flexible working pattern, including evenings and occasional weekend work.

Requirements



  • Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above

  • Qualification in relevant Housing role is desirable

  • Knowledge of housing management techniques

  • Knowledge of IT processes, including Word and Excel

  • Experience in a customer facing role, and ability to provide outstanding customer service

  • Experience presenting cases in Court is desirable

  • Experience working in arrears reduction and monitoring

  • Full UK Driving License and access to vehicle

  • Approachable and friendly nature


Role Expectations



  • Provide a high quality and prompt communal energy and housing management service

  • Manage cases of heating arrears and work to maximise unpaid heating income

  • Produce monthly heating bills for residents with CHP meters

  • Deliver a customer care focused approach

  • Work with residents to prevent debt from occurring, advise on payment options, and negotiate realistic repayment agreements where necessary

  • Work alongside key partners, internal and external

  • Manage a complex caseload and initiate legal action for debt recovery

  • Attend Court where necessary and represent the company

  • Attend servicing meetings and promote resident involvement

  • Work as part of a team to achieve targets and maximise the company's income

  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and one weekend per month
