Full-Time Pharmacy Technician - HMP Mount ( prison cleared)

Position: Full-Time Pharmacy Technician


Location: HMP Mount


Rate of Pay: Negotiable


Working Hours:



  • Monday to Friday: 0745 - 1730

  • Some weekend work required: 0830 - 1800


Key Responsibilities:



  • Dispensing and distributing medication to inmates in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols.

  • Assisting the Pharmacist in preparing and maintaining medication inventory.

  • Ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping of medication transactions.

  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to prisoners.

  • Participating in medication reviews and medication management initiatives.

  • Promoting adherence to medication regimes among inmates.

  • Maintaining a safe and secure working environment within the pharmacy area.


Requirements:



  • Valid Pharmacy Technician qualification and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a prison or secure environment.

  • Strong understanding of pharmacy practices, regulations, and medication management.

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Empathetic and compassionate approach towards patients, including those with complex needs.
