Team Leader Children's Support Worker

One of the leading providers of expert complex care services in the West Midlands is now looking for an experienced Children’s Team Leader, helping to ensure children with complex health and mental health issues can receive the targeted care they need in a private, tailored therapeutic space.

The group provides tailored experiences for local people across all levels of support, with the goal of bringing together choice, preference and independence with high-quality care; the specialist children's provision is currently undergoing an exciting period of transformation, so can offer a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Children's Team Leader who wants to both improve care for young people and develop further within the field.

As a Team Leader, you will manage a team of support workers as you work together to provide care and support for children and young people with complex needs, which may include physical disabilities, a history of trauma, sensory impairments, and behaviours that challenge.

You will work closely alongside other dedicated health and care professionals, such as occupational therapists, and actively support the integration of wellbeing services for a comprehensive approach to paediatric complex care.

This is a permanent, full-time role for a Team Leader (Children’s Services), working 9-5, Mon-Fri.

You will need to be able to reliably travel across and beyond Walsall in this role.

 

Person specification:

Candidates must have:


  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People)
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a Team Leader role within children’s services
  • Access to a reliable form of transportation

It is an advantage but not essential to have:


  • NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care (Children and Young People)
