We have an excellent opportunity for a Locum Senior lawyer to join a busy Childcare team based in a Greater Manchester Council.

The candidate must be will to travel to court and conduct advocacy when needed too.

ROLE: Childcare Senior Lawyer
LOCATION: Manchester Council
CONTRACT: 3 months on going
RATE: £45ph- £55ph

The Role-

• Must be able to attend court.
  
  (Manchester based)


• No need to attend office except for important meetings once every few months.


• To undertake and have personal responsibility for a mixed caseload of Childcare Law.


• To undertake advocacy at all levels of Court/at Tribunals as appropriate, including the preparation and management of cases.


• To provide a full range of professional legal advice and services to the Council and its committees on matters relating to local government and its partners, as directed from time to time.

The Person-

• Practising Solicitor or Lawyer in the UK with at least 2+ years PQE- Childcare law


• Preferable experience within a Local Authority


• Have a good workload management skills and well developed oral and written communication skills.


• Ability to work under pressure and to consistently tight deadlines .
