Service Care Legal Recruitment are currently working alongside Local Authority, based in Devon, which is in need of an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team.

ROLE: Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer

RATE: £50-£55ph

LOCATION: Devon, remote

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months ongoing

The Role:

• Deal with an Adult Social Care legal files from start to completion

• The role will deal primarily with Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards challenges and s16 applications in the Court of Protection as well as more general Mental Capacity Act advice.


• The successful candidate will also be required to assist in other areas of Adult Social Care including Ordinary Residence disputes, Care Act duties and Mental Health Act matters.


• The successful candidate will also oversee the whole process of each case from pre-proceedings through to completion of the final hearing.

The Person:

• Someone who has 5+ years of PQE in Adult Social Care Law


• Someone who has an understanding of the structural framework of Local Authority Law and has worked at a Local Authority before


• Someone who is able to deal with their own caseload independently whilst also assisting others with theirs
