A client within the Public Sector based in the Northeast is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide Building Surveying services to Clients, budget holders, in-house Operational teams and other Service representatives, in preparation of feasibilities, schemes, estimates, programmes, asset condition surveys, disrepair surveys and contract administration duties.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• To implement the standards and the policies of the Service.


• To carry out projects within expenditure and time constraints.


• To work with other Officers, Services, Agencies and the general public.


• To undertake condition surveys, disrepair surveys, dilapidations surveys and reports across Council assets.


• To undertake pre-construction, Principal Designer and Contract Administration activities across projects, aligning to the RIBA Plan of Work 2020 and the CDM Regulations 2015.
  
  

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a minimum HNC standard in an appropriate field and be a Car Driver, or the ability to meet the transport requirements of the role.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

• Knowledge of the Pre-Construction process, Contract Administration, Construction methods, and site practices


• Experience in preparing comprehensive works packages for schemes


• Experience in the use of NBS and CAD platforms.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
