HR Administrator

Service Care Solutions are looking for a HR Administrator to join our HR team on a fixed term contract, covering maternity leave.


As the HR administrator, you will need to be positive and passionate about the service you provide, with real attention to detail.

You will provide support with generalist HR activities including recruitment, on-boarding, and generalist HR activities.

You will have the ability to work independently and to use your own initiative but will have the full support of our friendly HR team.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Supporting the internal recruitment process, including advertising, arranging interviews, and obtaining references

  • Accurate administration of key people processes, including full on-boarding, contract changes, family / special leave, flexible working, leavers, and employee benefits

  • Follow all agreed procedures accurately to ensure all responsibilities are carried out consistently, to a high quality within the agreed timescales

  • Understand the relevant HR policies and procedures and to assist the HR team.

  • Ensure the maintenance of electronic employee files / records and People platform records, making sure these meet company, legislative and regulatory requirements

  • Update the Payroll team regarding notification of new starters, leavers, and variations to contract, in accordance with monthly payroll deadlines

  • Generate any letters or other individual correspondence for changes

  • Maintain knowledge of systems to enable quick and accurate response to employee /user needs

  • Make recommendations for improving the processes to increase business effectiveness


The ideal candidate will have:



  • Minimum 1 year office based, HR administration or equivalent experience

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced flexible environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong IT skills, including MS Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • The ability to always work with discretion

  • CIPD level 5 qualified or working towards (desirable)
