Neonatal Nurse

Opportunity available for a Registered General Nurse to work for Service Care Solutions within a Neonatal Unit, Based in Cambridge

The team sits within the Neonatal Unit with the role predominately providing 24 hour care in an acute hospital setting working shifts in intensive care, high dependency and special care baby units.

As part of this role you will preparing and checking medications, managing a baby's fluids, recording observations and documenting a baby's care and initiating appropriate basic resuscitation in an emergency situation.

You will be assessing , planning , implementing and evaluating individual programs of care in partnership with the family and the appropriate members of the multi professional team.

You must ensure that high quality evidence-based care is delivered and give appropriate information, advice, support and education to parents/carers ensuring that they are involved, understand.

You will also be responsible for carrying out all forms of patient care, for which they are competent to practice, without direct supervision, in accordance with local and Trust policies and procedures and within professional guidelines.

It is essential for this role that you have the following experience:

• Tertiary NICU experience which includes looking after extreme preterm babies <27 weeks


• Surgical neonatal experience


• Completed the specialist accredited neonatal intensive care course


• Competent with ventilators and INO delivery systems


• Sued to looking after babies with PPHN , extreme prematurity< 26 weeks, inotropes


• Competent using the life start and completed an up to date NLS course in past 2 years


• Competent with non-invasive resp delivery systems

This role is commence asap with the shift patterns being a range of Days, Long Days & Nights.

Rate of pay for this role:

Monday to Friday (06:00-20:00): £25 Per Hour
Saturday/Nights: £29 Per Hour
Sunday/Bank Holiday: £33 Per Hour
