Service Care Solutions are looking for a Domestic Electrician to work within the HMP Prison Service on a contract basis.

Location: HMP Wealstun / Weatherby

Pay: £17-£35 hour Depending on experience

Job role/responsibility:

To install, maintain service and repair electrical installations, circuits, and wiring systems in domestic properties.

• 
  Test and inspect electrical installations in domestic properties in accordance with the 17th IEE wiring regulations as amended from time to time (“the regulations).
  
  

• 
  Maintain and repair electrical installations in accordance with the Regulations.
  
  


• 
  Replace circuits and consumer units indulging the full rewiring of properties.
  
  


• 
  Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory legislation.
  
  


• 
  Strict adherence to Company Health and Safety and operational policies.
  
  


• 
  Compliance with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Coordination-ordination Team.
  
  

• 
  Delivery of electrical repairs and testing in both occupied and void properties


• 
  To undertake out of hours callout duties as per rota requirements.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Test or the equivalent C&G 2394 & 5


• 
  C&G 2382 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations


• 
  C&G Installation Certificate 2360 /2351 or equivalent with Part 2 or NVQ


• 
  C&G 2393 Desirable Part P Qualification


• 
  Asbestos Awareness Training

• C&G2377 PAT Testing Course


• 
  Current full UK driving licence

Experience:

• 
  Required technical skills


• 
  Ideally two years' work-related experience

• 
  Time served apprenticeship
