Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking a Principal Property Lawyer to join them on a contract basis.

ROLE: Principal Property Lawyer
LOCATION: South East London / remote
RATE: £60.00 per hour
CONTRACT: 3 months

Please note that this may require 1 day in the office per week, although this may be flexible for the right candidate.

The Role

• To manage and assist in running the day-today running of the Property team


• You will manage a busy team of Lawyers and be responsible for the provision of high-quality solution focussed services to internal and external clients


• Ensuring that the Council is provided with professional legal advice and support in relation to all of its freehold and leasehold property transactions


• Supporting and advising the Council in relation to its major property projects including regeneration and joint ventures

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' PQE


• Ideally must have experience in managing a property law team within a local authority


• Strong technical Property Law would be essential for this position
