Senior Scrub Nurse

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Senior Staff Nurse - Scrub to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Reading, Berkshire area.

As the Senior Staff Nurse your key duties include:

• Assist the surgeon by passing instruments during the various procedures that will occur throughout a shift


• Maintain theatre department clinical performance


• Direct supervision and training of junior staff to ensure high standards are maintained


• Assist in performance reviews and hold interviews and be the decider of theatre practitioners and ODP recruitment


• Strong organisation skills, assessing and implementing


• Providing efficient and effective based nursing care to patients


• Performing the necessary pre and post-op checks

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• A warm, considerate and empathetic character


• The ability to make decisions and use your initiative


• Strong communication skills


• Passion to deliver excellent care in a rewarding and what can be emotionally challenging environment


• A flexible and positive attitude


• Must be trained in at least 2 specialities, and have at least 4 years post registration experience

The successful Senior Staff Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £38,500 - £41,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
