A client within the Public Sector based in South London is currently recruiting for a Licensing Manager to join their team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to lead and manage the Licensing service in the Council effectively and consistently, supporting the Consumer Protection Manager.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• To take operational management of the relevant Licensing services; ensuring that resources are used effectively to address priority issues and set, report against and achieve performance


• To implement service strategies which align with legislative requirements, best practice guidance and organisational change as directed by the Consumer Protection Manager.


• To assist the Consumer Protection Manager with the formulation and review of the relevant statutory policies and policy and compliance protocols and develop the appropriate monitoring procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require an enhanced DBS certification clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

The below skills would be essential for the role:

• A degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and evidence of continuing professional development, or experience (two years) and evidence of professional development where no degree is held


• A relevant Licensing or technical qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent.


• In-depth specialist knowledge of the licensing related legislation and the associated best practice, statutory guidance and procedures and membership of the Institute of Licensing.
  
  

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £175 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
