Junior Mammographer

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Junior Mammographer to work in a reputable, exceptional private hospital based in the South Kensington, London area.

This is private hospitals which offers treatment for both adults and children, and are dedicated to providing world-class care to patients


*To be considered for this position you must hold a BSc or DCR in Radiography as well as a Post grad certificate in Mammography



As a Junior Mammographer your key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in providing a high quality mammography service for the screening programme and symptomatic service

  • Have highly developed physical skills as a high degree of precision and speed, and a high level of hand, eye and sensory coordination is essential

  • Organise and prioritise the daily workload efficiently, ensuring that all patients are seen promptly and on time

  • Accountable for own professional standards by being responsible for maintaining a high standard of imaging and patient care always

  • Ensure safe operation of the equipment and patient safety

  • Ensure the delivery of an effective and efficient service to meet the needs of the patients and the clinicians

  • Undertake Quality Assurance testing to ensure equipment is operating optimally, highlighting problems in advance to minimise downtime

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Previous experience within a high-end healthcare environment advantageous but not essential

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Good IT skills including Word and Excel

The successful Junior Mammographer will receive an excellent salary up to £41,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
