Staff Nurse - Ward

As a Nurse your key duties include:



  • Provide safe and effective care of service users

  • Implement plans for patients' care and needs

  • Ensure that own nursing practice is in accordance with hospital/location policies and guidelines and that professional practice is in accordance with the NMC Code

  • Bring to the attention of the registered manager, any factors that inhibit the delivery of high quality, safe, effective or any instances or evidence of poor-quality clinical care

  • Assist in maintaining clinical standards

  • Work with senior staff to ensure the care environment is conducive to satisfactory and continuing education and training programmes



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role



  • Surgical experience across a wide range of specialties

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business

  • A passion for delivering an excellent patient-focus service

  • Strong organisation skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

  • Demonstrated computer skills
