Service Care Legal are recruiting for a Lawyer join the Contracts & commercial Team within the Legal service at a Local Authority in Merseyside.

This would be a 6 month Locum position on going, more information below:

ROLE: Commercial Contracts Lawyer
LOCATION: Merseyside
CONTRACT: 6 months on going ( Remote) or Hybrid
RATE: £45-£55ph (umbrella)

The Role-

• Handle you own case load from start to completion.


• Experienced in public procurement and contracting matters, including drafting of complex legal documents, subsidy control advice, local authority specific contracts experience.


• Attend meetings these can all be done via Teams/Zoom


• Provide effective and efficient legal advice to the County Council, partners and external customers to the highest standard

The Person-

• Someone with a minimum of 3+ years of PQE in Commercial Contracts and Procurement Law.


• Someone who understands the structural framework of Local Authority.


• Confident in communicating and working remotely.
