Job Title: Civilian Investigator

Pay Rate: £24.01 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking two experienced Civilian Investigators to support Specialist Crime South (MIT 11) with an ongoing investigation into a fatal gas explosion that occurred in Mitcham in August 2022.

The explosion resulted in the tragic loss of a four-year-old child's life.

This is a complex investigation focusing on Corporate and Gross Negligence Manslaughter, and multiple lines of enquiry are being led by the Metropolitan Police Service and the Health and Safety Executive.

As a Civilian Investigator, you will be responsible for reviewing staff actions and company records and practices as part of the second phase of the investigation.

The review will be the primary focus of this role.

The team is based at Putney, and while you will be required to work in the office for three days a week, there is flexibility to work remotely for the remaining two days.

You will work closely with the team to ensure that all aspects of the investigation are conducted thoroughly and in a timely manner.
