An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Specialty Doctor to work in an exceptional hospital service based in the Warrington, Greater Manchester area.

This special hospital provides specialised services for people with Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI), progressive neurological conditions, Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Deaf Mental Health problems, with a layout that enables you to deliver care within a low stimulus, spacious environment

As a Specialty Doctor your key responsibilities include:

• Admitting new service users, which includes a full physical and mental health screen upon admission


• Managing physical and mental health concerns that emerge during an inpatient stay


• Depending on your experience, providing oral evidence at First-tier Tribunal and Hospital Managers' hearings under the supervision of a Consultant


• Contributing to the service development by participating in Clinical Governance activities by conducting audits, research and teaching


• Work effectively with colleagues to ensure that patients have access to appropriate medical cover at all times


• Providing prospective cover to other specialty doctors when they are on leave

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Experience working in psychiatry within multi-disciplinary teams


• To be in good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists


• At least 3 years' experience in Psychiatry


• Experience working as a doctor within brain injury/ learning disability/ deafness services

The successful Specialty Doctor will receive an excellent salary of £80,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week working through Day Shifts from 9am-5pm.
