Licencing and Prosecution Lawyer

Service Care Solutions are working closely with a council in the South Yorkshire area, who have an opportunity that has arisen to join the Governance and Regulatory Team as a Licensing and Prosecutions Lawyer.



ROLE: Licensing and Prosecutions Lawyer
SALARY:£50-£60ph (Negotiable)
BASED: South Yorkshire (3 MONTHS)
OFFICE: Hybrid - 2 days in office, 3 days remote- Flexible working arrangements.


The Role-



  • Providing legal advice with respect to a variety of Licensing and Prosecutions related matters

  • Helping to bring a practical approach to problem solving.

    Demonstrate that they are able to provide authoritative advice to the Officers of the Council and Members, ensuring that decisions and actions are lawful.

  • Reviewing Reports and advising Members and Officers at the Licensing Committee Meetings.

  • Preparing Prosecutions Court files; and some Court work advocacy.


The Person-



  • Practising Lawyer/Solicitor with 2 years PQE in the area of Law.

  • Working within the public sector would be useful but is not necessary if the candidate can show requisite experience in Licensing and Prosecutions law.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

  • Candidates must also have excellent communication skills to enable them to build strong relationships with clients.
