A fantastic part-time opportunity has come up for a GPhC-registered Pharmacist to join the dedicated Outpatient Dispensary at a leading local hospital – consistently rated one of the best in the country – in providing outstanding pharmacy services tailored for patients who have been recently discharged or who attend on an outpatient basis.

Blending clinical and community pharmacy to form its own unique speciality, the Outpatients Pharmacy sees many patients with a wide variety of healthcare needs; from recent attendees of A&E, to discharged patients continuing treatment at home, to people managing chronic or progressive conditions.

In this dynamic and diverse environment, no two days are the same.

As an Outpatient Pharmacist, you will provide safe and effective medication dispensing, counselling, and management services for users of the Outpatient Dispensary, contributing to ongoing development and building close relationships with other dedicated healthcare professionals to deliver optimised, patient-centred care.

This is a permanent, part-time position for an Outpatient Pharmacist, working 27 hours per week.

Pharmacists of a community, hospital, or primary care pharmacy background are very welcome to apply – full training will be provided.

Person specification:

You must have current registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacist.

You must have at least 2 years' experience working as a Pharmacist – this could be either in a hospital, PCN, or community pharmacy setting.
