A specialist hospital in Birmingham is now looking for a driven Speech and Language Therapist to join the team in supporting adults to improve their speech, language, communication & swallowing abilities after experiencing complex neuro-physical symptoms.

As a Speech and Language Therapist with the MDT, you will assess and implement interventions for inpatients experiencing dysphagia and difficulties with communication – e.g.

to aid recovery from a stroke, or to mitigate advancing symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease or MS – taking advantage of cutting-edge technologies to help your patients improve their quality of life.

This is a permanent, part-time (30h) position for a hospital-based Speech and Language Therapist.

 

Person specification:


  • You must hold valid registration with the HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • You must be registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • You must have previous experience in an acute setting, ideally with dysphagia and neurological conditions.
