CBT/ Psychological Therapist

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed CBT/ Psychological Therapist to work in a brand new CAMHS service opening soon based in the Waterlooville, Havant area.

A brand new CAMHS service opened recently which supports young people aged 12-17 with eating disorders

*To be considered for this position you must be a qualified CBT Therapist or registered mental health nurse, social worker, or occupational therapist, with accompanying registration with the appropriate professional body

As the CBT/ Psychological Therapist your key responsibilities include:



  • Support the provision of the psychology service in the CAMHS eating disorder team, in collaboration with multidisciplinary team, and under the direction and supervision of the Therapy Lead/Clinical Psychologist

  • Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and ensure that the patient is fully engaged in their care pathway

  • Provide psychological assessments of patients based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological (and neuropsychological) tests, self-report measures, rating scales direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the patient's care

  • Monitor clinical progress through regular reviews of psychotherapy treatment

  • Attend clinical supervision with the Therapy Lead/Clinical Psychologist

  • Attend monthly therapy meeting with the therapy team



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Experience in supervising junior members of the team

  • BABCP Accreditation if eligible or be working towards full accreditation

  • Clinical experience (either pre-training, on training, or subsequently) of providing evidence-based interventions to adolescents and/or families (e.g.

    CBT-E, CBT

  • Competency in psychological assessment and formulation skills

  • Competency as regards risk assessment and management

  • Ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively



The successful CBT/Psychological Therapist will receive an excellent salary of £45,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
