
HR Advisor

Location: Hybrid - Birmingham B37

Contract Type: Fixed term contract until June 2024
Weekly Hours: Full time, 37 per week Monday - Friday
Salary: £26,986 - £39,621 dependent upon qualifications and experience
Job Purpose
The Advisor role is a pivotal role within our structure.
You are the main point of contact for managers within a business area and you will support and advise them on a broad range of matters.
While providing advice and supporting managers on all Employee Relations cases and provide advice on people related matters.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with HR Business Partner to effectively coach and encourage managers to take ownership of people practices
- Producing all employment related correspondence for employees, ensuring all employee changes are fully documented and that electronic files are maintained
- Reviewing, maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures and provide advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Ensuring that new starters, leavers and changes are processed correctly through the HR & Payroll System in partnership with the payroll team and that any associated paperwork is completed and retained
- Ensuring that managers and staff are fully trained on the self-service elements of the system
- Producing statistics and reports on a range of issues, to include sickness/absence management, staff turnover and employee life cycle data
- Monitoring sickness/absence levels across the organisation and ensure absence procedures are followed, including arranging and attending absence support meetings
- Supporting and coaching managers on the organisation's Performance Management Framework
- Supporting the disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, including advising managers and arranging and attending meetings
Candidate Requirements
- Associate CIPD Membership - Level 5
- Proven track record of delivering the full range of human resources services within a customer focussed environment
- Working knowledge of employment law and regulations and their applications
- Accustomed to producing and interpreting human resource related reports
- Effective communication skills and able to communicate effectively to a wide range of customers both internally and externally on human resources related matters
- Full UK driving licence to enable you to travel across areas where required
