Job Description

Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Bedfordshire for a Capital/Technical Financial Analyst on a temporary basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Support with technical areas of Local Government Finance including capital accounting, capital expenditure/income settlement and capital grant monitoring


• Reconciliations, capital budget updates and work order maintenance and preparation of charity accounts


• Prepare and submit capital returns, monthly vat returns and support with accounts closure processes within the team

Ideal Candidate

• CCAB/AAT Qualified Accountant with PQE and CPD


• Experience in Local Government finance within capital/technical accounting including accounts close, capital budgets and capital returns


• Experience of analysing, interpreting and communicating complex financial information


• Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
