Rate: : £500-550 per day LTD
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Term: 6 Months (Ongoing)
Weekly Hours: 37 Hours
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday

We are recruiting on behalf of a Council for a Fully Remote 6 Months (Ongoing) Technical Finance Manager at £500-550 per day LTD.

The purpose of the role will be to be the key member of the Finance team with full knowledge of technical accounting, Treasury, Collection Fund, the Balance Sheet, and VAT for the Council.

The primary focus will be assisting with 22/23 closedown and later in the summer 22/23 audit.


  • Day to day management of a team of three who deal with cash and bank and the Treasury function.

  • To assist in the closure of the Council's Accounts, completing specified disclosure notes and maintaining detailed working papers.

  • To take a lead in ensuring the proper administration of financial affairs and monitor compliance with relevant financial standards and legislation, whilst supporting the delivery of a programme of continuous improvement.

  • To deputise for the Head of Financial Services where required.

Ideal Candidate

  • Will have exceptional experience within a local authority in a similar role

  • Has experience in Treasury and Pensions, Collection Fund, CFR and MRP, and the core statements to the accounts

  • Has relevant accountancy qualifications or is qualified by experience
