Band 6 Cardiac Nurse

*To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin

As a Nurse your key duties include:

• Managing the cardiac rehabilitation referral list and refer on to appropriate services as necessary


• Deliver educational sessions within the programme


• Deliver autonomous evidence based cardiac advice, care and treatment throughout the programme


• To identify patients requiring further medical review throughout the programme and discuss within cardiac rehabilitation MDT or report to band 7 non-medical prescriber/cardiologist as appropriate


• To identify and act swiftly in the case of medical emergencies

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Holds Advanced life support certificate


• Proven teaching and assessing skills


• Excellent ECG and LFT interpretation


• Demonstrable advanced skills in this specialty with acute cardiology /respiratory experience

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £32,390 - £39,330 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
