Job Description

Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Bedfordshire for a Manager Business Partner (Childrens and Schools Finance) on a temporary basis.

The postholder will deliver high quality financial management services across the Local Authority including financial advice and financial policy development ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to deliver priority services in line with a sustainable business strategy.

They will provide business intelligence and, in collaboration with the service, to ensure effective financial management and sound financial decision making thus ensuring that resources are effectively deployed to deliver priority services in line with a sustainable business strategy.

They will manage and motivate a team of finance staff in the delivery of financial support services and lead the financial aspects of major projects ensuring robust financial appraisals.

Ideal Candidate

• CCAB/CIMA Qualified Accountant with Post Qualification Experience at a senior level


• Experience within Local Authority/Local Government financial management


• Experience of providing financial management and collaborating with senior stakeholders


• Ability to manage resources and ability to interpret and present complex financial information


• Great communication skills with experience of managing a small team to run an effective service
