Assistant Project Manager

A Client within the Private sector is currently recruiting for an Assistant/Junior Project Manager to join their team as soon as possible.


This is a full time, permanent role with the ideal candidate having experience using Auto CAD and working with the construction sector, ideally within a Commercial Fit Out environment.


The main purpose of the role is support the current project manager with interior Fit out projects.


The main responsibilities:



  • Provide key support to the Project Managers and Finance Director in order to complete the annual budget and monthly forecast

  • WIP management and reporting

  • Assist Project Team with commercial analysis and guidance

  • Developing and maintaining external relationships are key

  • Assist with preparing and analysing project costings for tenders in line with PAS20:30 standards

  • Assist with preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities

  • Assist with performing risk, value management and cost control during construction

  • Have awareness of the different building contracts in current use, (in particular NEC)

  • Good understanding of implications of Health and Safety regulations

  • Manage the interface with suppliers/contractors and internal partners to ensure value for money and appropriate commercial controls are embedded in all contracts.

  • Assist with all post contact commercial matters including negotiating/agreeing compensation events


The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
