Service Care Legal are currently recruiting for a Childcare Solicitor to work within a supportive, experienced Childcare Legal team in a Local Authority in the Yorkshire area.

The role will mainly be done remotely, occasionally work in the office and travel to court hearings in the local area.

Role: Childcare Solicitor
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £50-£55hr
Contract: 3 Months On going (Hybrid- Mainly Remote)

The Role-

• Involves advising Children Social Care on legal issues, drafting Court documentation for Childcare, Placement, Ward ship Proceedings, Deprivation of Liberty applications and Adoption, obtaining evidence, liaison with clients, Courts, Solicitors, Cafcass and witnesses to address threshold.


• Confident advocate before the Courts to undertake advocacy at all levels of proceedings where possible.


• Support the Legal Team Manager (Children and Community Services) in the efficient and cost-effective provision of Legal services

The Person-

• 3+ years of PQE in Childcare Law.


• Clear strong communicator to deal with clients along with confident advocate.


• Previous Local Authority experience in Public Childcare Law is desirable but Applicants with private law experience in public childcare proceedings would also be welcome.
