Rate - £21-£24 PAYE Per hour

The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) Manager will support the Head of Patient Relations and Deputy Director of Patient Experience in the strategic planning of the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) agenda.

As operational lead for PALS delivery, the post-holder will be responsible for developing and implementing PALS systems that ensure a responsive service for patients, families, carers and members of the public across all Trust sites.

As part of the Patient Relations Team, which incorporates complaints, they will ensure a seamless, integrated service is delivered.

The post-holder will also have operational responsibility for the Patient Relations Helpline as well as the Birmingham Heartlands Hospital Main Reception desk, which includes weekday and weekend cover and operates a cashier function for travel expenses.

The post-holder is responsible for ensuring the effective management of these services, ensuring they comply with national and local standards and are responsive to the needs of patients, families, carers and the public.

This will ensure the views of patients, relatives, carers and the public are heard and utilised for the purpose of driving improvements in patient experience.

The poster-holder will have line management responsibility for the teams working under them.
