One of the UK’s leading independent healthcare providers is now looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Cancer Care to join the staff bank and occasionally supplement care within their growing oncology unit in Guildford, where they aim to always surpass even the highest expectations when it comes to patient care.

The wider hospital (rated “Good” in all areas) specialises in acute medical services and surgical procedures, both routine and complex, and therefore the unit’s cancer services – provided by a multidisciplinary coalition of medical, nursing, allied health, and complementary therapy professionals – are able to offer a full range of oncological interventions, including cancer surgeries and hormone, chemo- or radiotherapies, to treat a wide range of cancers.

As a Bank Cancer CNS, you will provide outstanding cancer care, advice and guidance to patients, their loved ones, and your fellow healthcare professionals on an ad-hoc basis.

You will work closely with the medical and surgical oncologists to influence therapy delivery, provide advanced clinical services to patients at the unit, and act as a role model for best practice to more junior team members.

Person specification:

You must hold valid registration with the NMC as a Registered Nurse (RN Adult).

You must have significant experience in cancer services.

You must have previous experience with post-operative oncology care.
