Care Responder

Care Responder needed with South Gloucestershire Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Yate

Duration - Initially 3 months

Hours per week - 37 hours per week

Salary - £13 ltd an hour


  • Multiple roles available

  • You will be working with residents supporting them at home following a stay in hospital, aiming to improve their quality of life and increase independence

  • You will be required to keep accurate records of your visits in line with Council guidelines, you will work closely with practitioners to implement care and support plans referring issues and discuss and raise concerns as necessary

  • You will be allocated residents within South Gloucestershire, and it will be your role to visit them in their own residential homes.

    The Home to Decide Service offer a response service 7 days a week between the hours of 7am - 10pm.

    All Care Responders are guaranteed contracted hours which will be worked on a rota basis

What is required?

  • Experience working in the care sector or interested in starting a career working directly with people living in South Gloucestershire, who are being discharge from hospital to their own homes

  • Educated to GCSE Level A-C in English and Maths or equivalent

  • Full clean driver's license and access to a car (or able to use another appropriate means of travel) to travel to a range of locations include home visits
