Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist
An exciting job opportunity has arisen for dedicated Highly Specialist Speech & Language Therapist to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Hook, Hampshire area.

This service aims to support patients in a range of community-based activities as part of a full treatment programme and to prepare them in moving through their discharge pathway towards a community- based placement

As the Specialist Speech & Language Therapist your key duties include:
- Develop or extend their clinical expertise with this client group
- Engage with the wider Speech and Language Therapy networks
- To collaboratively participate in quarterly Speech and Language Therapy meetings
- To work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Work closely alongside a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist and provide support to the Speech and Language Therapy Assistant (SLTA)
The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:
- Experience in working with a client population who present with a diagnosis of Autism (ASD)/Learning Disability, along with complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Experience in or an interest in Dysphagia management
- The ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent communication / time management skills
The successful Speech & Language Therapist will receive an excellent salary up to £19,500 per annum - FTE £39,000.
This exciting position is a Part Time role working 18.75 hours a week working through Days.
