Location: Slough
Contract: Temporary Fixed Term (6 months)
Rate: £20-24 per hour umbrella
Start Date: ASAP

Job Description
Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Berkshire for a Payroll Officer.

The postholder will assist in the timely and accurate payment of wages, salaries and expenses fees to Authority Employees and will ensure all tasks are completed in a confidential manner, within the required timescales in line with PAYE legislation and HMRC rules.

They will input new starters/contractors, process leaver forms, deal with all types of payments and will resolve pension queries.

Ideal Candidate

  • Finance qualification preferred or qualified by experience

  • Experience of Agresso preferred

  • Experience within a Local Authority payroll background preferred

  • Great communication skills with ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team

  • Experience in providing a payroll service to a large number of employees and to multiple services
