Hospital Director

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Hospital Director to work in an exceptional mental health service based in the Chesterfield, Derbyshire area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers



This is a low secure unit for males with a learning disability, including those with co-morbid personality disorders, mental illnesses and autistic spectrum disorders (ASDs)

As the Hospital Director your key responsibilities include:



  • Leading the Senior Management team on site on all aspects of day to day business

  • Leading and developing a culture where the very highest standards of safety, quality and excellent patient care are consistently delivered

  • Developing and maintaining strategic external relationships

  • Driving recruitment and retention plans on site

  • Reviewing any audit or inspections reports ensuring compliance with all statutory regulatory bodies



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Extensive experience working at a senior level; preferably within a similar setting

  • Seasoned leader, with operational and financial planning experience

  • Experience of commercial accountability for cost control and financial performance

  • Experience of making informed decisions sometimes in difficult circumstances.

  • Experience of leading a diverse team

  • Extensive managerial & leadership experience with a thorough understanding of developing services for healthcare

  • Strong track record of innovation and making changes to the operation to further improve the work environment and site performance



The successful Hospital Director will receive an excellent salary of £70,000 - £75,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
