Job Purpose Summary

The council are seeking to recruit a qualified social worker to undertake social worker responsibilities.

The post will be based within the fostering team which is a friendly and supportive team, based alongside the mainstream childcare teams.



This post offers the opportunity for a worker to develop their knowledge and skills and to be creative in their work within the community.

The Fostering Team, located on the 7th Floor of the Civic Centre, is a busy team comprised of people with a varying range of professional experience.

In view of the nature of the service, evening working is occasionally required.

Possessing good interpersonal and administrative skills, the successful candidate will have regular formal supervision as well as access to informal support and guidance from colleague supervising social workers.
