Job Description

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Durham for a Senior Accountancy Assistant.

You will primarily supporting taxation (VAT) function which includes completion of VAT returns.

Support will also be required around reconciliations.

Ideal Candidate

• You will be actively studying for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or equivalent relevant qualification or CCAB qualification


• You will have experience of working in a finance environment with a Financial Management System ideally in the Public Sector


• You have ability to undertake budget preparation, budgetary control and final accounts work who is able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
