
Forensic Phycologist
A new opportunity has arisen at Service Care Solutions as we are hiring a Forensic/ Clinical Psychologist in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for part-time maternity leave cover within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for a Psychologist working within our Community OPD service across Nottinghamshire.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to support the ongoing delivery of the core consultation and the IIRMS (Intensive Intervention Risk Management) services until September 2022, offering a mix of consultation, supervision, training, and limited intervention.
Daily Duties:
The post holder will work within a specialized psychological service delivering the following:
- A case consultation service to staff in National Probation Service local delivery units and Approved Premises.
- Case formulations on the cases with the most complex needs where establishing the management arrangements and pathway requires a sophisticated understanding of the individual in order to help the offender manager engage effectively with the offender
- Joint case working with probation practitioners where the objectives of the work will be clearly identified in the case formulation and are likely to focus on specific areas like motivation and engagement, or risk assessment and management
- Workforce development: Staff training and development underpins the effective delivery of the offender personality disorder strategy.
A local delivery plan will be required that addresses the training needs of staff and relevant agencies.
Reflective practice and supervision will form part of this element of service delivery. - Delivery of a core IIRMS (Intensive Integrated Risk Management Service) which includes provision of therapy informed interventions
Person Specification:
- Experience of NHS and / or criminal justice organisation and systems.
- Ability to work intensively with people who present challenges in the complexity of their problems and needs, for example sexual and violent offending and self-harming and suicidal behaviors.
- Awareness of constraints of secure environments and criminal justice processes
- HCPC Registered Clinical or Forensic status.
- Good honours degree in Psychology, accredited by the BPS.
- Evidence based therapeutic intervention delivery relating to issues such as traumatic experiences and/or personality disorders.
Pay Rate: £37ph (Ltd)
