SEND Review Officer needed with Worcestershire County Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Worcester (can be remote)

Duration - initially 3 months

Hours per week - 35 hours per week

Salary - £270 ltd a day

Description:

• To cover all aspects of SEND Casework


• Will be expected to hold a caseload, communicate with parents and schools


• Hold a caseload of EHC plans and be responsible for the case management of these plans


• To participate in a multi-agency approach to the writing and amendment of an EHCP


• To ensure EHCPs are clear and well structured, with SMART targets which are child-centred and support preparation for adulthood


• To take part in and support SEND meetings relevant to the role/caseload, taking meeting minutes when requested by the chair

What is required?

• Educated to degree standard in either teaching, social care, child care or psychology (or equivalent with evidence of relevant experience)


• Considerable experience of working in a service that focuses on children and young people with SEND, either in a Children's Services provision or in a service that secures and monitors provision


• Considerable experience, and evidence based understanding of effective decision making processes


• Ability to draft statements or documents
