A client within the public sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for a facilities manager to join their technical team as soon as possible.

This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an accommodation environment.

The purpose of the role is to manage a small team of professional staff or large team of paraprofessionals to deliver a focused service across a small geographical area or across a business stream of a whole service.

The main responsibilities of the role:

• Delivering facilities, property and organisational accommodation projects that enable implementation of strategic organisational change, such as new ways of working/working flexibly initiatives and property asset reviews.
  
  This includes specific elements of work for example, vacating buildings, removals of building contents, staff re-locations, provision of furniture and equipment, space planning and contributing to facilities required for buildings in use perspective to any building redevelopment plans.


• Confident in the role of intelligent client leading and mobilising accommodation relocation and closure projects, working closely with senior stakeholders, and the technical reference for site floor plans, adherence to requirements of property health and safety, managing risks and project governance.


• Experienced in using professional judgement to manage and deliver multiple concurrent projects with time critical deadlines.

Requirements:

• Qualified professional or equivalent with significant relevant experience or


• Significant vocational experience, demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding relevant roles

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £24 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
