We are looking to hire a General operative based from our depot in Wigan, undertaking railway maintenance

As a General Operative you will always work in a safe manner following appropriate procedures and instructions at all times.

This is a hands-on role, working outdoors in all weathers, carrying out general maintenance work aiding skilled workers on the railway.

You will work on the LNW Framework for Network Rail, undertaking railway maintenance work including drainage, culverts and general civils disciplines.

You will be responsible for ensuring that vehicles materials, tools and plant equipment under your control are fit for use and are used, stored & disposed of correctly and any defects are reported immediately to H&S Manager.
