A client within the Public Sector based in Greater Manchester is recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their Repairs & Maintenance as soon as possible.

This is a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Housing environment.

The purpose of the role is to provide a range of Building Inspection services in relation to the maintenance of housing stock.

The main responsibilities of the role:

• The pre-inspection of repairs prior to ordering, and prepare written defects sheets and general information.


• Prepare schedules, quantities, costs and simple diagrams and resolve contractor problems and assist in the withholding of payment in conjunction with the SSR.


• Supervise the Repair Contractor on a daily basis with regard to quality of work and compliance with repair deadlines

Requirements:

• Knowledge of building maintenance industry


• 3 years experience in domestic building maintenance


• CDM regulations; and either a HNC or ONC in a building related field.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £28 - £30 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
