Service Care Solutions are looking for an Dev Ops Engineer to work in Plymouth within a government department for a 3 month contract with a likely extension.

The role itself is mainly working form home with occasional attendance in to the office required.

Project Overview

This project is focused on delivering new infrastructure improvements to implement new infrastructure solutions using cloud technologies, which includes developing a new FTP solution, refining and improving AWS security controls and looking to further migrate on-premise infrastructure to AWS.

Person Specification

This role is to provide technical engineering capability for the Web Operations team, responsible for supporting production systems and working with Agile development teams to delivery new services in a highly available and supportable configuration using DevOps processes and tooling providing.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will have strong technical skills in the appropriate technologies to support the delivery of secure infrastructure required.

Skills Required

• Strong experience of creating and support AWS technologies


• Experience in working in DevOps and Agile environments


• Automation tooling (e.g.
  
  Terraform, Ansible or Puppet)


• Scripting/Programming experience (E.g.
  
  Python, Java, Go)


• Deploying, managing and scaling applications on Kubernetes

• Need good awareness of Linux
