Your key duties within the role will include:

• Accountability for the On-prem and Azure Cloud Platform, Networks, servers, services, and any other additional related platforms/systems.


• Resolves chronic complex problems, providing managerial operational support to maintain systems and platforms


• Participates in the planning and implementation of platform updates to optimise functionality, performance, efficiency, and maintainability




• Partner with the development team, providing design support, in-depth technical assistance and troubleshooting


• Performs holistic platform security posture which includes identifying risks, escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions.


• Perform financial planning, forecasting, and budget tracking to reduce total cost of ownership on responsible platforms and allocate resources efficiently


• Manages the Cloud Platform team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes.


• Responsible for ensuring all Hardware/Software/Servers are fully patched and regularly updated.


• Architect, supervise and participate in the implementation of new technologies and platforms supporting a complex corporate data and voice infrastructure.


• Create and maintain technical designs and planning documents (go-live plans, work packages, technical project plans), progress reports and test scripts and create service transition plans for projects.


• Ensure that all IT systems and services are always proactively monitored and carry out proactive action in response to thresholds being breached.


• Maintain the IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans and ensure supporting documentation is always up to date and participate in periodic Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tests and Conduct periodic security audits on all systems.

Requirements:
Education/Qualification:

• Ideally educated to degree level and 6-8 years of experience in a similar management field.


• Certification in DevOps Foundation, ITIL Foundation.


• AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator


• AZ-305: Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• Experience leading a major work stream or multiple smaller work streams for a large platform initiative, often providing technical guidance and advice to ensure consistent deployment of solutions


• Proven Cloud Solution Design Experience


• In-depth knowledge of Cloud Services (Azure).


• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes.


• In-depth knowledge of DevOps Tooling (Terraform, Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).


• In-depth knowledge of Automation and exposure to scripting (Python, Bash).


• Knowledge of IP networking specifically cisco switches.


• Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop.


• Knowledge of SQL Server Administration.


• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts.


• Knowledge of Infrastructure Automation concepts.


• Proven PowerShell skills.


• Agile methodology awareness (Scrum/Kanban)
