Deputy Ward Nurse Manager

As the Deputy Ward Manager your key responsibilities include:

  • You will act as a role model for the team, and be responsible for the development of your team

  • You will work with the Ward Manger to develop processes to improve patients experience as well as contribute towards the site improvement plan and quality improvement initiatives

  • Will be based on one acute ward within the hospital and will have regular clinical shifts working alongside your team

  • To demonstrate compassion, commitment and competence to deliver high standards of care within acute mental health nursing

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

  • Enthusiastic, committed and passionate

  • A professional approach and is able to contribute to the smooth running of the ward, ensuring the delivery of safe, high quality care

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to successfully motivate and lead a team

  • Be able to work well under pressure with a flexible approach, a “can-do” attitude and a willingness to implement quality improvement initiatives

  • Experience in mental health services is desired but not essential

The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £44,648 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
