Human Resources Business Partner


Job Title: Human Resources Business Partner
Work Pattern: 37 hours per week
Type: Temp ongoing
Location: Nottingham NG2

Purpose of the role -
A new opportunity has opened for a HR Business Partner at a local housing association to partner to work closely with the business leaders and line managers they will advise, guide and coach the business on all people and directorate strategies to ensure that the organisation maximises and harnesses our people's potential.


Job Role - key duties
· Works in partnership with Directors and their teams to identify and meet HR business requirements
· Advises on all employee relations casework working in partnership with managers and trade unions to provide innovative solutions to complex HR problems
· Advises on Departmental and Company restructures ensuring roles and responsibilities are accurately designed to meet business needs
· Supports the Head of Organisational Development in developing modern OD systems and practices
· Lead and advise on employment law, complex ER cases, organisational change and tribunals
· Prepare, interpret and present complex reports to senior management and the board.


· Acts a Company ambassador, promoting the Company's culture and values internally and to other stakeholders
· Supports the Head of Organisational Development and management colleagues to lead, manage and develop the department
· Responsible for team planning, organisation and managing their team within the Company's culture and values
· Accountable for the team's performance and for the delivery of the team's objectives
· Responsible for effective resource management and value for money in their service area.


· Continuously reviews and develops the team's performance and value for money against best practice and external benchmarks
· Effective cross company engagement with other managers to ensure joined up service development and delivery
· Provide professional advice and support to EMT, Board Members, tenant and leaseholders representatives
· Actively promotes putting tenants and leaseholders at the heart of everything we do
Candidate Requirements -



  • CIPD Membership (complete, working towards or willing to work towards) or equivalent qualifications plus relevant experience

  • Management and delivery of a high quality HR service to tight deadlines

  • Proven experience and understanding of Employment Legislation

  • Management and delivery of support to HR teams in complex ER cases, including tribunals and appeals

  • Successful management of and engagement with Trade Unions

  • Providing HR services to a diverse workforce
